Personal information

• We do not collect any personal information on this site unless you give it to us, either by buying something or by creating an account. Even in this latter case, we will only record your name, email, and country of residence.
• We will collect non-identifiable web traffic data, using Google Analytics, to improve our website.

Use and disclosure

• We will only use your personal information for the reason which you gave it to us – most commonly this will be to complete an order.
• We won't share your information with anyone else, and we won't send anything to your email without your permission.
• As a New Zealand Company, we comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993.

Shopping cart

• When you add an item to your shopping cart, we hold the contents of the cart on our servers for approximately 3 months. If you don't access the Buttercup Classics website in 3 months, your shopping cart will be deleted.
• Your cart is uniquely associated with the web browser on your computer, using a persistent cookie. Clearing cookies in your browser will abandon your shopping cart and create a new, empty one.

Internet security

• When logging into your account or creating a new one, your email and password are protected from eavesdropping by using an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connection. Certain other parts of the site are also protected by SSL.
• Our credit card payment processor (PayPal) uses SSL to protect your payment details when making a purchase.
